HAPPY BIRTHDAY TROY, ADAM, HAYLEY and TRICIA
Something that is cool is that 3 of us kids share the same birthday. I was so excited when Hayley was born because she made 3 girls and 3 boys. I remember telling Marc Mckool who was the mechanic that now we were just like the "Brady Bunch" and he said no- more like the "Braty Bunch". Hayley was blessed on the same day that I was confirmed, I was baptized the day before. There is a picture somewhere out there of that day of Hayley in her blessing dress and me in my baptism dress. It is easy for me to remember how much older I am than Hayley because of that.
I have always thought it was neat that she was born on Troys and mine birthday. I always felt bad for people who didn't get to share their birthday. I haven't known any difference. It was always fun too because it seemed to end up on graduation weekend when there were lots of parties and it was always so fun to see everyone again. I remember we would always have on big cake with all our names on it. When I would tell people they wouldn't believe me and couldn't figure it out. Since Mom had us C-section she scheduled it that way. I think she was way smart to do it that way.
When I met Adam at BYU we had so much fun talking and I really liked him. We hadn't know each other to long and and he told me his birthday was June 2, I thought this guy is the biggest smoozer- how did he find out my birthday and why is he lying about that. I really thought he was lying and was turned off for a few seconds till realized he really wasn't lying and it was his birthday. I just knew it was fate after that - just kidding but you know who those freshman minds work. I always had it in my mind that if we worked it right we could get married on our birthdays too- because I had graduated on June 2, entered the MTC on June 2 and I needed to get married on June 2! But he was year late asking me and in 1996 June 2 landed on a Sunday. I was happy to get married May 30 instead. Needless to say June 2 is a great day for lots of reasons but mainly because I get to share it with Troy and Hayley and my husband.
I have wanted all my kids to have a birthday buddy. Jake was born on Jennilyn's birthday, I wanted Evie to be on Chase's birthday so bad but she is a week later. I really wanted Nielie to be on Allie's birtday but she is a week earlier. They do have birthday buddies but not on the same day. It does make it fun to celebrate more than one at a time.
I am glad mom was smart and put us all on the same day. I am a little homesick wishing I could be there with them and that our kids could play with their cousins when they have the Family Sunday Birthday Party. I love Texas the only thing that I don't like about it is that my family isn't here. I am so glad that I have Adam to celebrate it with, I don't know what I would do if I didn't get to sharer my Birthday cake with someone else.
